Companies add their product to Zapier by building an integration through the Zapier Platform and joining the partner program, which reviews and approves public listings. Integrations themselves are free to publish and use within Zapier, matching the directory's free listing model, though the underlying apps may require their own accounts.

Developers use the visual Platform UI or the CLI to define triggers, actions, and searches, authenticate with OAuth or API keys, and test against real data. The partner program documentation explains submission, branding, and the criteria an integration meets before becoming publicly available. Once live, an integration can be combined into multi-step workflows.
